The Experimental Pathology Core (EPC) at CMIR brings unique expertise in validating of new imaging
agents against gold standards and in identifying disease processes in animal models to link molecular
imaging research and pathology. The core provides various services, including tissue processing,
sectioning, staining, image analysis and interpretation, tissue banking and molecular analysis.
The core also performs innovative research to further improve and enhance existing methodologies.
All pathology requests are project based and reviewed at weekly MIP meetings. The price for EPC services is $65/hour (effective 5/1/2007)
Assistance with new projects is available by arrangement with the Core Director.
