Imaging Agent Development

Iterative screens are commonly used to develop initial "hits" into successful imaging agents that have optimized pharmacological properties.
CLIO Libraries

CLIO are magnetic monocrystalline nanoparticles 20-50nm in size. A crosslinked polymeric coating has been developed to attach different spacers and affinity ligands. CLIO libraries also contain core bound NIR fluorochromes so that they can be screened easily by fluorescence methods. Microarrays of CLIO libraries with different functionalities have been developed and are particularly useful for targeting scavenger receptors, internalizing receptors and other endothelial targets.
