Imaging MMP-2 Inhibition
Mikael Pittet, PhD

In vivo optical fluorescence imgaging of HT1080 tumor bearing animals. Left: untreated, right: treated animal (150 mg/kg of an MMP-2 inhibitor; bid, i.p. for 2 days). The color coded tumoral maps of MMP-2 activity clearly show that enzyme inhibitor efficacy can be imaged in live animals.

This newly developed technology has been applied to tumor detection, characterization and evaluation of anti-tumor therapies.
