CNY Building

A large part of CMIR is located in a 200,000 square foot premier research space in what was once the Charlestown Navy Yard (CNY). The atrium at the center of the building provides a source of natural lighting for many laboratories, including CMIR, that face it. The atrium contains a cafeteria is a congregation site for scientists seeking momentary respite from the confines of the laboratory. The building is a major research and clinical facility where hundreds of scientists are employed.

CMIR’s labs on the 5th and 6th floor are modern facilities for chemistry, biology, computing, imaging, engineering and administration.
