Director of IT Phone: 617-724-0590 Email: mpivovarov@mgh.harvard.edu A foremost challenge for informatics departments is the integration of information across disciplines. We are in the process of developing a Molecular Imaging Portal (MIPortal) system that will enable combination of data sets - imaging, genomics, proteomics, histology, and results of their analysis. An experimental PACS system with high-capacity storage is in the core of our IT infrastructure. Images acquired on all CMIR imaging modalities are associated with other experimental data for persistent storage and distribution via Web Interface. Investigators will be able to review images, manage studies and download full data sets for post-processing analysis. The Information Technology group is responsible for managing technology infrastructure for the CMIR and designing new information system architecture to support molecular imaging research. Another area of our work is focused on developing post-processing algorithms and tools. CMIR_Image is an image display and analysis suite developed by our group. It offers a range of flexible tools for the visualization and quantization of a wide range of image types and formats relevant to biological imaging.
