The purpose of the Clinical Discovery Program is to rapidly translate novel imaging agents and approaches from bench to bedside. This Program focuses primarily on technologies previously developed at CMIR but also applies other new technologies as they are related to molecular imaging. The primary fields of interest are currently in clinical cancer imaging (staging and angiogenesis) and imaging of inflammatory diseases. Investigators in this program are practicing clinician scientists from Massachusetts general Hospital and collaborators from other Harvard Medical School teaching hospitals. The program is primarily funded through grants from NIH.
